SPONSORSHIP
Why this project needed
sponsors:
We were all responsible for paying
our own way on the trip ~ teachers included. Whilst
family and friends helped to support us in this area,
we also needed to address the broader picture of the
community project in Zambia. We estimated this would
cost £15,000. Over the course of the 2005/2006
we mounted a fund raising campaign to secure these funds.
What were the benefits?
Our sponsors would be rewarded in a
number of ways:
- they would be seen to support a unique project
which demonstrates a global community spirit;
- the expedition team would endeavour to support
the sponsors’ own pr initiatives;
- we would try, where possible, to acknowledge support
given by our sponsors in all promotional material
(including this website).
And last, but by no means least, our sponsors would
have our undying gratitude, not forgetting the thanks
of the people of Zambia.
